Matriculants Urged To Make An Application For NSFAS Funding

As the 2024 National Senior Certification (NSC) examinations kick-off, Higher{Education and Training Minister, Dr Nobuhle Pamela Nkabane, has reminded all matriculants to seize the opportunity to make an application for funding with the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
"The applying window will close on fifteen December 2024, and you will discover not many days left to submit applications. Suitable students are urged to apply immediately to secure monetary support for their post-school education," Nkabane said.
Nkabane extended well wishes to all matriculants, who sat for the National Senior Certificate Examinations, with learners writing languages, English and Afrikaans Paper 3.
Nkabane explained this pivotal moment marks the fruits of many years of hard work and encourages the Class of 2024 to approach their examinations with dedication and confidence.
With Just above 880 000 candidates, including 727 121 full-time and 155,215 part-time candidates from throughout South Africa sit for this calendar year's matric exams, across South Africa, Basic Education Minister, Siviwe Gwarube, has assured the public in the department's preparedness to administer the examinations efficiently.
Nkabane highlighted an array of opportunities obtainable inside the Post-School Education and Training (PSET) system, and that is open up to all matriculants trying to get further education and skills development.
The PSET check here system contains:
